Smashton Badminton Club is built on the intersection of high-intensity sports and digital-era community values. To ensure every session at the DG1 Sports Complex remains elite and welcoming, we have established a definitive set of protocols known as our “Connection by Strings.”
Five Pillars of Harmony
Mutual Respect
Above all else, we are a community. Every player, regardless of their skill level or experience, deserves to be treated with dignity. A simple “thank you” or a handshake at the net goes a long way in building a positive environment.
Timing of Guidance
We all want to improve, but the middle of a match is a time for focus and flow. Please save coaching or technical corrections for after the game. This allows players to stay in the zone and enjoy the rhythm of play without pressure.
Private Resolution
Heat-of-the-moment disagreements are natural in sports. If a conflict arises, we encourage you to step off the court and settle it calmly. Keeping the court a “neutral zone” ensures high energy for everyone else.
Mindful Language
Our words reflect our sportsmanship. Avoid offensive language and maintain encouraging dialogue. Clean communication ensures the club remains a professional and welcoming space for every member.
Considerate Humor
Humor is our soul! While we love lighthearted teasing, be mindful of the “line.” Everyone has different comfort levels; let’s keep our humor inclusive and kind.
Strict Harmony
Zero tolerance for bullying, discrimination, or aggressive outbursts. Inclusivity is mandatory; deliberately excluding players based on skill or background is prohibited. Protect the vibe at all costs.
Operational Policy
Session Booking & Refunds
Participation is only confirmed upon receipt of session fees via our digital booking system. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable to cover pre-booked facility overheads at DG1.
Health & Safety
Members must ensure they are medically fit for high-intensity activity. Players are responsible for their own warm-up routines. Protective eyewear is recommended for doubles play.
Liability Waiver
By participating in Smashton activities, you acknowledge that badminton is a physically demanding sport involving risks of injury. Smashton Elite and its organizers are not held liable for personal injury, illness, or loss of personal property occurring within the DG1 facility or during transit to club events.
Equipment Clause: Racket damage or breakage is a common occurrence in group play. The club is not liable for damaged equipment. Please play carefully and remain mindful of your racket’s safety and the safety of others on the court.
Attendance at any Smashton session constitutes full agreement to the policies above.
